A Lot to be Thankful for

A New Year is about to start, and I am so thankful for so many things in my life. I am very appreciative that I got to enjoy visiting my grown sons and their families. I especially enjoyed visiting my three grand children. Taylor is almost 6 and his little sister is 3 ½.

And they got a new cousin born November 8th, and we all got to spend Christmas together. My newest grandchild is a wonderful healthy little boy who loves to be held, and I sure enjoyed holding him. Nothing is more wonderful than having a baby fall asleep in your arms. (Especially if he is your grandchild!) I loved being a mother, but being a grandmother is so much more delightful for many different and rather obvious reasons.

When I was a new mother, I found those times very magical, but lack of sleep and responsibility of a new little one tended to make it more stressful for me. These times of being a grandma, really make my heart sing. I only wish I lived closer, but I guess that makes me more appreciative of the times I do get to see them.
Wishing you a very wonderful New Year Eve's!!!

Worrying part two

For those of you patiently waiting for part two, sorry it took a few days. I have been getting ready to travel to Southern California to visit my son's and their families. I thought it was no consequence that I was writing about worrying while I was stressing out about the trip, so I read this part earlier and took it's advice. Not so surprisingly, things smoothed out, and the worrying and stress lessened. And now I am on my way down south, so I will be a little more hit and miss with my entries, during the Holidays, but keep checking in. Hope your Holidays will be worry and stress free, or at least less!!!

Dear God/Goddess, Is there anything else I can do to help with this mind that worries?

Dear Sweet Child, thank your mind for working hard, Ask your mind to help you with things that need to be done, like scheduling and preparing for the day. These things are very helpful. Appreciate the minds ability to assist you with these things, now ask the mind to delegate to your inner Source, The Universe, the things that the mind worries about. Know that it has the most amazing miraculous team to create what you would want and the key to having this Universes assistance is for you to just ask them, then thank them and just let it go. And let go of worry about even getting it.

Easy for you to say!!!

Has there been a situation where an actual person has taken over a difficult problem for you and made it work right. Even something as simple as getting your dimmer switch put in your house. Did it do any good to worry about how it was going to get done? If you ask someone who knows what they are doing, you have confidence that it will be done right, and you don’t have to know how they are going to do it. This is what we are suggesting you do when you ask the Universal’s help. It gets done in the easiest and the most efficient way. Often when you look back you marvel at all that got lined up to make something work. Much more amazing than anything you could have figured out on your own.

There will be times that the Universe will use you mind to take care of things that they working on. You may feel our prompting you, so if you get a good feeling to do something, and it feels right, see if you can really do it. And be glad that there is something you can give your mind and body to do. If you can do it with enthusiasm and joy, it will give the action "juice" to work well, and infuses it with a high vibration, along with our assistance, when you do any action with joy and enthusiasm

Worrying, part one

Dear God/Goddess, I know it is good to appreciate things in my life, but sometimes I have a little twinge of fear mixed in, because when I appreciate something or someone in my life, I often worry that these things might only be temporary. I sometimes fear the possible loss of the thing I am appreciating).

Dear Sweet Child, Good awareness of yourself, since that has been a big part for you, and it will help you out a lot, to be able to handle the worrying about when the other shoe is going to fall. That creates for you more problems, than practically any other low vibration thought you tend to have.

Yes, you got me pegged!
My protective self, the part of me that feels it needs to worry, wants me to do the things that will protect me from the things that I am afraid will happen. This part of me doesn’t like those positive higher vibration thoughts. It fears that if it allows positive thinking and these messages in, then I will be putting my head in the sand, and then I will not be prepared to deal with the negative things that might occur. What can I say to this voice to make it stop?

What would help is to keep telling your worrying voice, that what you think about, is what you get more of. The other shoe won’t drop unless, you keep worrying about it happening. Then the saying “what you feared the most came to past” actually does happens. Then you can either let that voice say, "I knew there was something to worry about", or finally be aware that you get what you focus on. Hopefully, you can take this information and turn you life around, rather than start worrying about your worrying.

there will always be Law of Attraction, keep telling the protective worrying part of you, that they need to let go. Get on board with creating what you do want, not what you don’t want! Keep saying to the worrying voice, “thank you for sharing, but this is not helping, since I am perfectly capable of handling anything that shows up in my life. I do not need to worry about not being prepared for something bad happening." This will help calm the voice.

My Bali trip last year

This picture was taken December of 05, when I was in Bali. We visited the children that we and some others from the US were sponsoring through the YKIP organization. The four of us had brought 25 disposable camera's with us on the plane, and through interpreters we were able to teach them how to use their cameras. We asked them to take pictures of their family and home, so we could send the pictures back to their sponsors. In this picture they were all holding their camera up, pretending to take a picture. they had a lot of fun with their cameras, and their pictures they took, were wonderful. Even some of the smaller kids did a great job with their assignment.

We meet one week later after all the film had been picked up and developed, and they received two sets of the pictures that they had taken. One set they got to keep, and the other set was to be put into a booklet for their sponsor. We had so much fun with them, and it sounds like Heidi had a wonderful time this year too. (See the tuesday's post)
School is free in Bali, but it is still expensive for a family to send a child to school, because they wear uniforms and need school supplies. All these children have a family, but often their family, due to different reasons find it difficult to handle all the expenses. When a child is sponsored the family can then easily send their child to school. They were not in school the day we meet for the picture, so they did not have to be in uniform.
During much of the traveling that I have done, I found that there were some very special places and Bali was one of them. I love practically anywhere that is tropical, so that was already a plus for me. But the people, their customs, and their way of life is what makes Bali so special and unique. The trip last December was amazing, because of the time I spent with the children and I also got to meet some very beautiful families. We were also included in some of their sacred ceremonies and temples. We felt very privileged and honored to be let into their homes and temples. They are a very kind and loving people who have huge hearts. I saw how they live their spirituality on an every day basis. It was truly inspirational for me, and they touched my heart. I wish more people on this planet lived life as they do, I think this planet would be a much kinder place to live in. Of course, they have their challenges, just as we do, but practically everywhere I went, I saw happy people with huge smiles and a playful attitude.

It was a trip I will not forget, and I hope I will get to go back soon.

Bali Children

This time last year I was in Bali, with three wonderful women. One being Heidi Hornberger, an exceptional artist who travels to Bali every year to help with the sponsored children, and to continue her art work amongst the other wonderful local artists. This year she went back to Bali and wrote to us about the event she did with the children that I, and others sponsor. Below is an email from Heidi to the sponsors. (in green print) Hope you will enjoy, I will write more about my experience of last year with the children. The foundation that sponsors the children is called YKIP, also known as Humanitarian Foundation for Mother Earth.
Dear Friends and Sponsors, I finally have some time to get an email off to you about our wonderful adventure to the Bali Bird Park with 30 YKIP children last week. This year 3 more friends accompanied me to Bali to help out with the field trip and to enjoy the island and its wonderful, warm-hearted people. For me, the field trip and art project (that followed a week later) was a year in the making. In the end, it was worth every minute of it. My first great joy was seeing the faces of the 24 children from last year, all smiling and welcoming me, as if I had come home again. Their shyness lessens with each year as our relationships grow. So many of them I now remember on a first name basis and can send them warm greetings from their sponsors in America. The 6 new children are still very shy with us, wondering who we are…these huge white-skinned people who don’t speak their language and are behind their cameras so much of the time. However, I did notice that many of the children from last year’s photo project related to the cameras differently and now seemed to understand our enthusiasm for clicking away endlessly. The Bird Park was much larger and more interesting than I expected. The Balinese children do not emote much, as we Westerners often do so freely, but I know from watching their faces closely that they will remember this experience for the rest of their lives. SUCCESS! This is what I wanted for each and every one of them…a memorable experience.Later in the day we took them by bus to a park and art museum in Ubud and had a picnic lunch. Even after all the stimulation of the morning, the children walked thru 3 buildings filled with Balinese art and carefully looked at all the paintings. I was amazed at their interest and ability to focus this long. In the end, it was a fabulous day for all of us (children, sponsors, and YKIP staff). It means so much to me to be able to make a difference in the lives of these young children. They embrace our gifts of sponsorship, letters, photos and small gifts from America and run with the opportunities we are offering them. Often the work I do for these children has seemed exhausting and so time consuming through out the year. But one day with them is all I need to be replenished and filled to overflowing again. I knew, for the first time last week, that some of these bright young students will surely go to university with our help and support. And they, in turn, will give back what we have given them to their island, communities and families.Last Saturday we gathered the children together again and did our annual art project of gifts from each child to their sponsor. I will be delivering the fruits of their creativity to you when I get back to the States in early January. So this years project is complete and I will begin planning next years field trip with Rucina ( the YKIP director) while I am here. She and her staff are incredible!! They organized, planned and executed so many details that made the field trip a success…buses, food and water for everyone, film development, reduced fees for the parks, and on and on. They work with over 500 children in the Kembali school program (which is only a small part of their foundation), yet they always take the time to help us with our field trips and art projects each year. I cannot tell you how impressed I am with the quality of these people and their devotion to the YKIP program.. Thank you again for your support in this project. It means so much to all of us.Happy Holidays. Heidi For more information on the foundation or Heidi, check out www.YKIP.org and www.heidihornberger.com

You have total freedom

Dear God/Goddess, If my thoughts create my reality, can I override my previously negative thoughts with positive thoughts? Will those negative thoughts still come to pass even if I have started to think positive thoughts?

Dear Sweet Child, Yes, you can override the negative thoughts with positive thoughts, however, any focus on what you had been thinking about, that was upsetting or worrisome, will just keep them around. And if some of those past negative vibrations start manifesting, then it is even harder to keep up the positive thoughts. But see if you can allow those worrisome thoughts to fade away. Give your attention to new thoughts and feeling of prosperity, love and joy in your life, and they will come into your life. Especially if you can send your focused thoughts in that positive direction, until it is a belief and then a knowing. Tap into the possibilities, the possibilities that excite you, the possibilities of joy, peace, pleasure, happiness, love and harmony. These states are every person’s God given right to have and chose for their lives. You also have the right and freedom to choose otherwise. Life is set up so you will get what you focus on. You have total freedom to choose any state of being. That freedom is what makes the experience of loving even more profound when you have all the choices available.

How much do others affect us?

Dear God/Goddess, Is life going to follow what I direct it to be, or are we at the affect of others?

Only to the extent that you believe it can affect you? Especially, if you fear things negatively affecting you, then the world will agree with you. If you believe that your loving, joyful positive thoughts will bring only loving peaceful happenings into your life, that also is what the world will agree with, and demonstrate that in your life. You don’t have to know all the details in what and how that will occur. Just have a knowing that love, joy, prosperity, health and peace will occur, if that is what you are choosing in your thoughts and feelings.

This is not longer such a secret, but for most of you it is still not believed. But more and more of you will start demonstrating the Law of Attraction and make it more believable for the general public. A key to this is not to fake happiness, to try and manipulate the Law of Attraction to get what you want, so then you will be really happy. It works much better if you work towards being happy, no matter if you get what you want or not. Know that an inner state of happiness is what your Inner Being is all about. It is not about getting the stuff and the experiences, but in how you think and feel. However, the stuff and wonderful experiences are a demonstration of being in that inner state of happiness. There will be the beginning challenge from having to go on faith while the past thoughts of negativity maybe still playing out in your manifestation. This will be continued tomorrow.

Happiness Part Three

Dear God/Goddess, You said that happiness was subjective, but are there some ways to tell we are happy?

Dear Sweet Child, This is a state where you know that all is well, where you have accepted life and appreciate everything around you. Contentment is one state of happiness, but contentment does not mean being complaisant. True happiness and contentment can be full of excitement and passion, enthusiasm and joy. Singing and dancing can flow from being happy Happiness is a state, with a definite high vibration, but if you are not really feeling that, then sometimes you might choose to fake it until you make it, as your saying goes, Often in the beginning when one chooses to be happy, even when they aren’t yet feeling it, the body will follow suit and then the true feelings of happiness will come. You may get fleeting feelings of warm loving thoughts, but as time goes on, if you continue to choose to BE happy, you will start feeling happy more and more of the time.

Appreciation, love, happiness, joy, peace, compassion are all states you Soul knows and resonates with. The more you tap into these feelings, even if you have to pretend at first, the more you will feel closer to your Soul and the more you will start to feel happy.

Happiness part two

Dear God/Goddess, ICan go explain more about happiness, and how we can be happy?

Dear Sweet Child, Like we said in the last passage, being OK with not having what you are wanting, will allow you to be happy now. Often, people are very surprised that when they finally get what they have always wanted, that aren’t happy for very long. They might have gotten a momentary feeling of happiness, but then off they go trying to get what they want next. They could spend they whole life, going from one brief moment of happiness to the next, with long periods of not being happy in between. This is not what most people or we would call true happiness.

So if you find yourself, waiting to be happy ‘when”, then you will be missing a lot of opportunities to be happy right now. But there are more ways to be happy, and that is to get a perspective with how you are living your life. Many times what one person’s reasons for being unhappy, would be another person’s reason to be happy, depending on what part of the world you are living in. That is where making lists of what you appreciate in your life, and focusing on that, often will help immensely in making you much aware of how many wonderful things are in your life. And like we have said before, the more you chose to be happy, no matter what is happening to you, the more things will come your way that you will be able to appreciate and enjoy.

More tomorrow.

Happiness

Dear God/Goddess, Would you tell me about happiness?, It seems to be the motive behind most actions, or at least the pursuit of happiness is. And why does it seem to elude us most of the time?

Dear Sweet Child, Happiness is a subjective term, to each one of you, it has a different meaning, but it does have a range in vibration that is high. Happiness does tend to be illusive for most of you. It requires knowing that there will always be something not yet manifested that you will want, and that happiness in the now, requires feeling happy anyway. If happiness requires the future event or thing to come to you, or to avoid what you don’t want, then you will never be happy.

Life will always be bringing you future opportunities, but if you allow those future things to determine your happiness, you are not going to be fully happy. Because you will always have something not yet manifested. That is why we say “get in touch with love- happiness, and appreciation now, to fully enjoy the now. For the NOW is all you really have. You have put yourself in this Realm of Relativity to have freedom of choice- Free Will, to have all the options of the spectrum in this illusion. But it can’t feel like an illusion, or you would not really have an ability to choose. In the Realm of the Absolute, where all is love, what is true, is there are truly no choices, so you revel in the Realm of Relativity to enjoy the contrast and choices. To be able to experience appreciation, to be able to truly appreciate, one has to experience or have the option to experience things that aren’t what you want, and then you can appreciate what you do want.

But what about happiness? I guess I get why we have choices, but why is it so hard to be happy in the now, when all those things aren’t going are way?

We understand it is difficult to be happy, when things aren’t going your way. But happiness can first come from just choosing to be happy. It may not be easy if life seems hard, if one is in a difficult situation. We understand that it could be difficult to choose to be happy if you were in prison, or something else not pleasant. What is difficult to understand is that those circumstances are from vibrations sent out for a while that have been less than happy. This is not a reason to beat yourself or others up for the state you are in, this is to help understand what is happening, and what you can do if you want to change things. It requires love, understanding and compassion with people who are not happy in their life.

However, when one chooses to be what they consider to be happy, no matter what is happening around them, then they will start bringing in more and more happy situations that support those feelings. Even if you are choosing to be happy, to get better things coming to you, if you raise your vibration to the level of true happiness, you will discover you won’t need the things you were wanting, and yet when they come, you will be able to add appreciation to the high vibrations of happiness.

Qigong and Gohn Dagow

Occasionally I will put in a personal note, since I want to tell you about a wonderful experience I had going to an afternoon workshop in Ashland, Oregon today. I have lived here in Ashland for about 10 years, and there are so many wonderful things happening here.

I would love to share with you, about an amazing Chinese healing program called Qigong. I believe it is becoming more and more known around the world. We have one of the special Chinese Masters here in Ashland, that lived and trained in China. His name is Master Mingtong Gu, and is head of the Wisdom Healing Center. I spent 5 very powerful hours with him, and about 80 participants. I am feeling very fortunate to be able to gather with so many like minded spiritual people, and to create a synergistic Chi energy that was used for healing the individual, the group, and to send out into the world.

This Qigong definitely reminded me of my prior training with a Chinese form of martial arts, called Gohn Dagow. I trained under Master Futzu Treon for 7 years from 1990 to 1997. Today was very special for me. It was very powerful to be working in a group that focused and developed the Chi energy, and being with another Master.

Qigong is more focused on healing the body, and not using it for martial movements, but I found many similarities. Both modalities date back to ancient China. And both help you learn and use your Chi force.

I would love to share a little about Gohn Dagow. It originated in 2800 B.C., and is considered a classical, southern Chinese, soft, monk form of martial arts. Soft style is different from hard style movements, soft styles emphasize internal power, called Chi and exemplify flowing motions. Hard styles emphasize external, physical power, and tense sharp rigid movements. Tremendous speed can be developed in both styles, and both can teach the development of Chi. There were many beautiful ancient philosophies, closest to the Toa tradition, that were taught to us. This and more can be found in the book Gohn-Dagow Movements for Health and Self Defense found at their web site www.gohndagow.com

Also, from today’s event, Master Mingtong Gu’s web site is www.chicenter.com. I would love to have you check out both sites, and learn more about them. My training in Gohn Dagow was life changing for me, and prepared me for many of my challenges in my life,. I owe so much to Futzu Treon who passed on in 1998. And to Futzu Hickmond, who is now head of the American Gohn Dagow Association and lives and teaches in Bend, Oregon.

PS: If you have already tried to post a comment, and found you had to be a memeber to post, that should be changed now. You should be able to make a comment, even without sharing who you are.

You are never truly alone

Dear God/Goddess, Can you tell me more about this communications and are more people communicating this way with you?

Dear Sweet Child, Yes, of course, it is great that so many are doing this now, actually this type of communicating has been going since humans have been alive. Mostly, in prayers, and only a few had been hearing us, especially as clear as it has been lately. We are pleased about this increase in the two way communications. For as it said in “Conversations with God” God communicates with you, using any way possible for you to hear the message. Even a movie, signpost, or what might be said from the next person you talk to might be a message from us.. We do like communicating this way, although it can be fun sometimes to find cleaver ways to reach you.

Like when I see double or triple digits on a digital clock. Especially, when I see 11:11. Is that you talking to me? I feel like it is a message that tells me that you are near.

Yes, we have fun with that, but your questions imply that there might be a time when we aren’t near. We are always as close as your breath, but never forcing our energy on you, because you will always have Free Will. But, regarding the repeating numbers, they are a symbol that you are vibrating closer to the higher vibrations that makes connection easier for you, which is closer to your true self. At times like these, and many others, when you are feeling loving and happy, you will feel conneted to us. We are always connected to you, but it is your Free Will that allows you to feel connected to us, or not. Just know we are as close as a thought, and you are never truly alone.
